The Pound Sterling eased as markets adopted a cautious stance ahead of US sanctions on Iran.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro remained firm around $1.1655, supported by rising oil prices and bond yields, while heightened Middle East tensions reinforced expectations of a September ECB rate hike.

GBP/USD

The Pound Sterling eased to $1.3630 as markets adopted a cautious stance ahead of US sanctions on Iran, while traders assessed the outlook for UK interest rates.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen slipped to $159.30 as Japan’s fiscal woes and the wide US-Japan rate differential continue to undermine the currency.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar eased toward $0.7150 on cautious risk sentiment and a firmer USD, though downside was limited by RBA minutes signaling readiness to hike rates if inflation risks intensify.

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar lost more ground, reaching $1.3860 as trade tensions between the US and Canada continue to persist.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand traded sideways around $16.00 amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, while elevated gold prices continued to provide support for the currency

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee edged up to 47.48(selling) this morning.
