The Pound Sterling traded sideways against the majority of its peers following recent economic data.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro struggled to gather some momentum at $1.1690 as elevated energy prices and weak gas reserves raised concerns over Eurozone growth and industrial activity.

GBP/USD

The Pound Sterling traded sideways at $1.3647 against the majority of its peers following recent economic data, whilst investors saw no clear signal on the Bank of England’s next rate decision.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen fell to $159, pressured by higher US Treasury yields and oil, which hurts Japan's import bill.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar gained traction at$ 0.7140 despite softer employment data released on the previous trading session, unemployment rate rising to 4.5%, adding pressure on the RBA to maintain a cautious policy stance.

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar sustained its positive performance to reach $1.3765, supported by improving trade relations with the US and rising crude oil prices. 

USD/ZAR

The South African rand remained firm at $16.08 on the back of rising gold prices, while investors continued to assess shifting Federal Reserve rate expectations.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee edged lower to 47.30 (selling) this morning.
