The Euro gathered some strength around $1.1485 as U.S. Treasury yields and oil prices eased overnight, reducing some of the US dollar’s support.
GBP/USD
The Pound Sterling eased to $1.3365 after BoE left interest rates unchanged at its September meeting yesterday, despite inflation rising well above its 2% target.
USD/JPY
The Japanese Yen fell like house of cards after the BoJ hiked interest rates by 25 bps to 1.25% this morning.
USD/ZAR
The South African Rand was supported by higher gold and platinum prices which helped offset the impact of the Fed’s rate hike and traded at 16.2352 against the greenback.
USD/MUR
The Dollar–Rupee was trading lower at 48.29 (selling) this morning.
