The South African Rand was steady as traders shrugged off weak domestic employment and manufacturing data.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro struggled to gain any meaningful traction and held steady around $1.1530 as markets keenly await the release of the key US inflation data and further developments surrounding the Middle East crisis before placing fresh directional bets.

GBP/USD

The British Pound slipped to trade at $1.3510 as stronger USD demand and geopolitical uncertainty weighed on the currency, while markets remained cautious ahead of upcoming US inflation and UK GDP data.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen weakened to around $159.50, as carry-trade demand and Japan’s fiscal concerns outweighed stronger August business sentiment reported yesterday.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar remained supported at $0.7055 by the RBA’s still-hawkish stance and relatively strong risk sentiment, while the US Dollar strengthened slightly ahead of US CPI, limiting AUD upside.

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar gained some footing at $1.3930 as higher oil prices boosted the commodity-linked currency before easing slightly ahead of US CPI due today.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand was steady at $16.1918 as traders shrugged off weak domestic employment and manufacturing data.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee climbed to 47.79 (selling) this morning.
