The Japanese Yen got a little boost at $159.25 as markets remain on high alert for further currency intervention.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar remained range-bound around 0.7050 as the RBA’s hawkish stance supported the currency, however Middle East risks likely to limit gains.

The Canadian Dollar faced a modest decline at $1.3940 as oil prices fell on Wednesday after two consecutive days of gains, although geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East could limit the downside in energy prices.

The South African Rand firmed at $16.13, supported by a softer USD after U.S. inflation data reinforced expectations that the Fed may keep rates unchanged in September.
