The Shared currency firmed ahead of ECB Lagarde's speech and Fed minutes
Fundamental News

EURUSD
The Shared currency firmed at $0.9734 ahead of the Federal Reserve minutes and the speech from European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde.

 

GBPUSD
The Cable fell below $1.10 crushed by comments from Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey, who reiterated the bank will end its support for the bond market on Friday despite pleas from pension funds to extend it.

 

USDJPY
The Land of the Rising Sun’s currency plumbed to the lowest level in 24 years to 145.24 versus the greenback, ramping up expectations of more currency market intervention by Tokyo to support the beleaguered currency against increased pressure from the dollar.

 

USDCAD
The Canadian Dollar little changed at 1.3788 versus the greenback as investor sentiment remained fragile ahead of a key U.S. inflation reading this week.

 

AUDUSD
The Australian dollar tumbled to $0.6239, for the first time since April 2020, before recovering to $0.6270 on the U.S. dollar's broadly strength and Dalian iron ore weakness.

 

USDZAR
The South African rand steadied at 18.13 per U.S dollar although industrial production figures showed South Africa's manufacturing output rose 1.4% year on year in August.

 

USDMUR

The dollar-ruppee idled at 44.25(Selling)
