Be Aware
Key red flags to monitor:- Unsolicited Financial Offers
Unexpected communications promoting loans, credit cards or unusually high-return investment opportunities. - Requests for Confidential Information
Requests for passwords, account numbers, One-Time Passwords (OTPs) or other sensitive information via phone, email, WhatsApp, SMS or social media. - Unauthorised Use of Branding
Watch for AfrAsia Bank logos that appear distorted, blurred, or low-quality. - Pressure Tactics
Urgent demands to transfer funds, verify your credentials or take immediate action under the threat of account restrictions or suspension.
How to verify authentic bank communications:
- We Never Ask for Confidential Information
AfrAsia Bank will never ask you to share your One-Time Passwords (OTPs), PIN or password by email, WhatsApp, SMS, social media, or through an unsolicited phone call under any circumstance. If you receive such a request, even if it appears to come from us, treat it as fraudulent. - Official Email Domain
Verify that emails originate only from an @afrasiabank.com address. Fraudsters often register look-alike domain names to imitate our brand—for example, using "affrasiabank.com" (with two fs) instead of "afrasiabank.com". Always check the spelling of the domain name carefully before clicking a link or entering your details. - Encrypted Website
Access your accounts only through our official Online Banking portal. Always ensure the website address begins with https:// before entering your credentials. The "s" in https indicates that the connection is encrypted and secure.
