The Canadian dollar slipped even as Canada’s economy grew at a robust 3.3% annualized pace in the second quarter.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro underperformed below $1.1600 as renewed US–Iran escalation pushed Brent higher, reviving eurozone inflation risks and reinforcing expectations for a more hawkish ECB.

GBP/USD

The Pound Sterling was under pressure at $1.3540 after hawkish Fed comments lifted US rate-hike expectations and Treasury yields.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen continued with its relative downtrend at $159.80 amid market anxieties over Japan's worsening public finances and expansionary fiscal policies.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar fell to $0.7165 as renewed US–Iran tensions triggered risk-off sentiment and pushed oil higher while elevated commodity prices and expectations of further RBA tightening provided some support.

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar slipped to 1.3895 versus the greenback even as Canada’s economy grew at a robust 3.3% annualized pace in the second quarter.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand is trading on the back foot at $16.16, weighed down by U.S dollar strength and declining gold prices.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee shot to 47.83 (selling) this morning.
