The Japanese Yen did little change supported by Tokyo inflation data that increased market expectations for a Bank of Japan rate hike next month.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro remained stuck in a rut at $1.1646 ahead of the Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s speech at the Jackson Hole symposium later today, seeking clues on the direction of policy.

GBP/USD

The Pound Sterling trod water around $1.3590 despite BoE rate-hike expectations shifting into 2027 as lower oil prices ease UK inflation concerns.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen did little change at 159.56 supported by Tokyo inflation data that increased market expectations for a Bank of Japan rate hike next month.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar cheered positive at 0.7197 versus the greenback underpinned by increasing market bets on additional RBA rate hikes.

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar eased at $1.3856 amid broader U.S. dollar strength.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand descended to 16.0052 against the U.S dollar with gains from softer-than-expected domestic producer inflation data being offset by a stronger U.S. dollar.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee hopped by 6 cents to 47.58 (selling) this morning.
