The Canadian dollar remained under pressure as a sharp decline in oil prices weighed on the commodity-linked currency.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro hanged near monthly low around $1.1365 as markets seem hesitant and await the outcome of a two-day FOMC policy meeting before placing aggressive directional bets.

GBP/USD

The British Pound sank below $1.33 ahead of FOMC as markets continue to expect the Bank of England to leave rates unchanged at this week's meeting after easing UK inflation and lower oil prices reduced immediate inflation concerns.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen dipped to $163.75, pressured by the persistent U.S.-Japan yield gap as markets positioned ahead of this week's Federal Reserve and Bank of Japan policy decisions.

AUD/USD

The Australian dollar crawled lower to $0.6965 as weaker iron ore prices weighed on the currency.

USD/CAD

The Canadian dollar was still under pressure at $1.4120 as a sharp decline in oil prices weighed on the commodity-linked currency.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand slipped to $16.80, pressured by weaker prices for key South African export commodities, especially platinum group metals, as markets adopted a cautious stance ahead of the Fed meeting amid lingering global trade uncertainty.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee shot to 48.20 (selling) this morning.
