The Pound Sterling came under pressure ahead of the highly anticipated U.S. August inflation report due later today.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro descended to 1.1606 versus the greenback as the ECB hiked rates by 25 bps amid inflation concerns linked to Middle East tensions and energy prices.

GBP/USD

The Pound Sterling came under pressure at $1.3506 ahead of the highly anticipated U.S. August inflation report due later today.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen weakened to $154.34 as producer inflation supported expectations of a BoJ rate hike, while the US Dollar remained supported.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar remained on the back foot at $0.7163 with markets increasingly anticipating a September rate hike following the RBA's hawkish commentary this week. 

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar was softer at 1.3841 with higher crude oil prices buoyed the currency and kept the pair's gains in check.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand eased to $16.1928 while mixed domestic economic data kept investors cautious on the outlook for Africa’s most industrialized economy.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee shot by 15 cents to 47.67 (selling) this morning.
