The Japanese Yen remained under pressure as mixed BoJ signals and a weaker-than-expected June current account reading weigh on the currency.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro consolidated gains at $1.1550, with Eurozone industrial production due to release this week, in focus for the EUR/USD pair, while Middle East tensions continue to support the USD.

GBP/USD

The British Pound edged lower at $1.3485 as it paused its recent uptrend, with UK Q2 GDP set to be the key UK catalyst alongside US inflation data due this week. 

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen remained under pressure at $158.30 as mixed BoJ signals and a weaker-than-expected June current account reading weigh on the currency.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar remained subdued at $0.7060 with risk-off sentiment weighing on the AUD/USD pair ahead of the RBA’s rate decision and guidance on future policy due tomorrow.

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar gained much support at $1.3960 on the back of resilient domestic data and elevated oil prices, whilst geopolitical risks continue to lend support to the US Dollar.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand strengthened at $16.1690, supported by higher gold prices, while geopolitical risks and shifting expectations around South African monetary policy remain in focus.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee dropped to 47.71 (selling) this morning.
