The Japanese Yen rallied as upbeat wage data and GDP lifted BoJ hike bets.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro gained few pips to $1.1625 as markets brace for US inflation data and ECB rate decision, which is likely to raise the benchmark rates on Thursday.

GBP/USD

The British Pound drifted higher to near 1.3545 on UK fiscal discipline pledges as UK Chancellor John Healey unveiled UK investment and regulation reforms.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen rallied to February high at around $153.35 as upbeat wage data and GDP lifted BoJ hike bets.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar held ground at $0.7215 following the release of Trade Balance data from China, which arrived almost in line with estimates, higher than July's readings.

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar slipped to $1.3800 following the release of Canadian jobs data which revealed that the economy lost 41.7K workers, while oil strength provided some support.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand trod water at $15.98 as investors awaited key GDP, current-account, mining and manufacturing data, while stronger reserves offered limited support whilst the 2035 bond yield rose 1bp to 8.53%.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee dropped to 47.55 (selling) this morning.
