The Japanese Yen remained under pressure as markets increasingly anticipate a prudent stance from the Bank of Japan on further rate increases at its October policy meeting.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Euro remained composed at around $1.1231 as investors assess France’s fiscal challenges and heightened political uncertainty.

GBP/USD

The British Pound hopped to $1.3245 with persistent price pressures and elevated energy costs in the UK are strengthening expectations that Bank of England rates will remain higher for longer.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen remained under pressure at $158.41 as markets increasingly anticipate a prudent stance from the Bank of Japan on further rate increases at its October policy meeting.

AUD/USD

The Aussie Dollar did little change and traded at 0.6969 versus the U.S dollar this morning with market expectations for a November rate hike by the RBA easing considerably following CPI figures that matched forecasts.

USD/CAD

The Loonie is supported by recovering oil prices, though a widening BoC-Fed policy gap caps its appreciation potential and traded at 1.4224 against the greenback this morning. 

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand firmed at $16.5788 despite declining gold and platinum prices pressuring South Africa’s export earnings and trade dynamics.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee dropped by 4cents to 48.09 (selling) this morning.
