Fundamental News

EUR/USD
The Euro held near $1.1538 as strong U.S. jobs data capped gains, with mixed Fed signals and steady Eurozone sentiment offering little directional push.

GBP/USD
The Pound sterling remained under pressure at $1.3090 with uncertainty surrounding the U.K. budget. 

USD/JPY
The Japanese Yen ticked up to 157.12 against the greenback after the Finance Minister indicated that an FX intervention was possible to curb excessive volatility and speculative activity.

AUD/USD
The Australian dollar edged down to $0.6445 despite an improvement in November’s local Manufacturing PMI.

USD/CAD
The Canadian dollar slipped below 1.41 against the USD after the delayed U.S. NPF release with focus shifting to Canada Retail Sales data today.

USD/ZAR
The South African rand traded lower this morning at 17.24 against the USD after the South African Reserve Bank resumed its policy easing cycle by cutting the key repo rate to 6.75%.

USD/MUR
The dollar–rupee dropped by 6 cents this morning, trading at 46.65 on the offer side.
