Fundamental News

EUR/USD
The Shared currency struggled to make much headway at $1.1684, undermined by fears that the Delta coronavirus variant could delay the global economic recovery.

 

GBP/USD
The Cable extended losses to $1.3625 on Brexit, covid woes and ahead of UK Retail Sales figures today.

 

USD/JPY
The Japanese yen gained to 109.68 versus the greenback as a flight to safe-haven currency helped the JPY stay resilient.

 

AUD/USD
The Aussie dollar hammered to $0.7126, with most of the country under lockdown to battle a COVID-19 outbreak.

 

USD/CAD
The Canadian dollar plummeted to a fresh six-month low of $1.2832 against the U.S dollar amid a plunge in oil prices.

 

USD/ZAR
South Africa's rand dived to 15.23 per U.S dollar, its weakest level in more than five months, on expectations the U.S. Federal Reserve will start tapering its huge stimulus this year.

 

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee stayed put at 43.00(selling).
