Fundamental News

EUR/USD
The Shared currency retreated from $1.1325 to $1.1271 this morning after an upbeat U.S Producer Price Index data increased expectations that the Federal Reserve would tighten its monetary policy sooner rather than later to contain stubbornly high U.S inflation.

 

GBP/USD
The Cable languished at $1.3232 ahead of U.K inflation data and on increasing odd of Bank of England rate hike on Thursday amid strong U.K employment data early this week.

 

USD/JPY
The Japanese yen ticked down to 113.73 per U.S dollar on Omicron fears and the market's anxiety ahead of today's U.S. Federal Reserve monetary policy meeting.

 

AUD/USD
The Aussie dollar edged up to $0.7115 after data from China showed retail sales slowed in the Asian session.

 

USD/CAD
The Loonie extended its downtrend to 1.2854 against the greenback bruised by oil prices.

 

USD/ZAR
South African rand extended losses to 16.08 against the U.S dollar on worries over the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines against the Omicron variant, ahead of a data-heavy Wednesday.

 

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee jumped by 5 cents to 43.55(selling) today.
