Fundamental News

EUR/USD
The single currency percolated around $1.2268 amid uncertainty about U.S. runoff elections in Georgia, determining the control of the chamber. Focus shifts to US ISM PMI and Georgi election.

 

GBP/USD
The cable suffered a hammer blow to $1.3596 as warnings of tighter UK lockdown measures to try and slow a fast-spreading coronavirus variant outweighed the relief over the last-minute Brexit trade deal.

 

USD/JPY
The Japanese Yen tread water at 103 against the greenback on comments from Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato on Tuesday stating that the government is working towards making a decision on announcing a state of emergency this Thursday.

 

AUD/USD
The Australian dollar popped to $0.77 powered by vaccine-fuelled recovery of the country's economy.

 

USD/ZAR
The South African rand retreated from 14.50 to 14.65 per dollar, despite bullish global sentiment driven by hopes for an economic revival.

 

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee stayed put at 39.83(selling) on the domestic market.
