Fundamental News

EUR/USD

The Single currency improved to $1.1450 despite a hawkish Federal Reserve rate hold.

GBP/USD

The British Pound firmed to $1.3348 ahead of the key Bank of England rate decision this afternoon.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen kept revolving around $163.51 ahead of Japan's interest rate decision where the BoJ is set to keep its rates steady tomorrow morning.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar was relatively steady at $0.6955 supported from expectations that the Reserve Bank of Australia could maintain a relatively hawkish stance if inflation remains persistent.

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar held ground near 1.4057 versus the greenback as oil prices remain underpinned by supply concerns, lending support to the Loonie.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand stayed familiar around 16.6759 against the U.S dollar following the South African Reserve Bank indicated that M3 money supply growth eased to 9.31% in June, down from 9.59% in May.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee traded 18 cents lower at 47.93 (selling) this morning.
