GBP/USD

The Pound Sterling remained subdued near $1.3315 as the UK Budget weighs on the British currency, with fiscal tightening, gilt issuance and upcoming US PCE inflation data shaping market sentiment.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen consolidated gains near 157.85 against the US Dollar ahead of Friday’s BoJ decision, with attention turning to policy signals that could strengthen expectations for a December rate hike.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar continued its upward trend at $0.7043 as hotter-than-expected Australian inflation boosted expectations of an RBA rate hike for next week meeting.

USD/CAD

The Canadian Dollar strengthened to $1.3990 after the Bank of Canada raised interest rates by 25 basis points to 2.50% yesterday, signaling further hikes may be needed to contain persistent inflation driven by elevated energy prices.
