EUR/USD

The Euro continued its downward trend at $1.1390 as risk aversion fueled flows towards the US Dollar amid heightened tensions in the Middle East.

GBP/USD

The British Pound fell slightly to $1.3360 as Burnham cabinet uncertainty keeps the Sterling exposed to fiscal-risk premium.

USD/JPY

The Japanese Yen fell to $162.30 amid Middle East crisis as Japan relies heavily on imported energy, particularly from the Middle East.

AUD/USD

The Australian Dollar rose slightly to $0.6935 supported by solid Chinese June Trade Balance report.

USD/CAD

The Canadian dollar strengthened to $1.4130 as renewed tensions in the Middle East pushed Oil prices higher amid fresh risks of supply disruption in the Strait of Hormuz.

USD/ZAR

The South African Rand shed some gains to $16.44 as rising Middle East tensions pushed up oil prices, fueling inflation concerns and reinforcing expectations of higher interest rates for longer.

USD/MUR

The Dollar–Rupee climbed to 48.01 (selling) this morning.
