The Shared currency slipped on Ukraine Jitters
Fundamental News

EUR/USD
The Shared currency slipped to $1.1345 on doubts that Russia has withdrawn troops on the border with Ukraine, with fears of an invasion still very much alive.

GBP/USD
The Cable extended gains to $1.3574 as British consumer prices rose at the fastest annual pace in nearly 30 years last month, intensifying the squeeze on households and reinforcing the chances that the Bank of England will raise interest rates for a third meeting in a row.

USD/JPY
The Japanese yen shot up to 115.21 against the U.S dollar as Russia-Ukraine tensions weighed on the risk sentiment and benefitted the safe-haven JPY.

AUD/USD
The Aussie dollar tiptoed higher to $0.7173 on mixed Australia employment data.

USD/CAD
The Loonie lost ground to 1.2722 against the greenback, shrugging off better than estimated Canadian CPI.

USD/ZAR
South African rand sidelined at 15.06 per U.S dollar as data showed consumer inflation slowed in January, lowering expectations of aggressive domestic interest rates hikes.

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee idled at 43.95 (Selling).
