EUR/USD rocketed to $1.2063 after US and EU jointly waived COVID-19 vaccine patent protections.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD
The single currency rocketed to $1.2063 after the U.S. and E.U. jointly waived COVID-19 vaccine patent protections, speeding up jabbing.

 

GBP/USD
The cable oscillated at $1.3909 after considerable whipsaw following the Bank of England's decision to adjust its asset purchases, though not enough to signal imminent policy normalization.

 

USD/JPY
The Japanese yen clung to modest gains at 109.10 per dollar as traders looked forward to Friday's April U.S. jobs report for market direction.

 

AUD/USD
The Aussie shot up at $0.7775 despite RBA Monetary Policy Statement repeats “no rate hike until 2024” while expecting upbeat GDP and easing unemployment rate in the future, coupled with China Caixin Services PMI marks positive surprise.

 

USD/ZAR
Rand rallied to 14.21 against the dollar as the governing African National Congress stood by a decision to suspend its Secretary-General Magashule charged with corruption.

 

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee stayed put at 40.85(selling) on the domestic market.
