Fundamental News

EUR/USD
The Shared currency strengthened to $1.1326 after the U.S dollar dipped in quiet holiday trading.

 

GBP/USD
The Cable rose to $1.3480 after UK PM Johnson pushed towards further activity easing despite record covid infections.

 

USD/JPY
The Japanese yen pressured down to 115.07 against the U.S dollar as US Treasury yields rallied on disappointing seven-year auction and hopes of Fed rate hike.

 

AUD/USD
The Aussie dollar gained to $0.7249 on U.S dollar weakness, all eyes on Aussie National Cabinet due to record cases in Australia.

 

USD/CAD
The Loonie sailed higher to 1.2799 versus the greenback as oil prices stayed firmer around five-week top over geopolitical tensions.

 

USD/ZAR
South African rand extended losses to 15.96 per U.S dollar as the currency struggled to make gains in holiday-thinned trade in the last week of 2021 despite increased appetite for riskier assets globally.

 

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee unbothered at 43.55(selling).
