U.S dollar energized overnight with cheerful U.S retail sales
Fundamental News

EUR/USD
The single currency plunged to $1.2044, smacked by upbeat U.S retail sales,  industrial output and producer prices.

 

GBP/USD
Sterling tumbled to $1.3848 although U.K annual consumer price inflation rose to a three-month high of 0.7% last month.

 

USD/JPY
The yen soared to 105.87 per dollar on BOJ Governor Kuroda's comment that its exports had recovered to levels before COVID-19 struck.

 

AUD/USD
Aussie bolstered to $0.7755 following Australian employment rose for a fourth straight month in January, and the jobless rate fell by more than expected.

 

USD/ZAR
South African rand climbed to 14.65 against the greenback as South Africa started its COVID-19 vaccination drive.

 

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee teetered at 40.20(selling) after Bank of Mauritius intervened to sell U.S dollar on the domestic market.
