GBP/USD clawed back losses to $1.2935 amid Brexit hopes

EUR/USD
The single currency edged up to $1.1775 after President Donald Trump is looking for a minimal deal with Democrats after abruptly cutting off talks on Tuesday.

 

GBP/USD
The cable recovered from $1.2843 to $1.2935 on optimism that Britain and the EU could reach an agreement on their future trade relationships had grown in recent weeks.

 

USD/JPY
The Japanese Yen lost ground to 105.95 per greenback although White House officials have played down the likelihood that anything gets passed, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is pursuing a standalone bill for aid to airline.

 

AUD/USD
The Aussie trimmed losses to $0.7150, even as market sentiment seesawed amid the US Vice Presidential Debate.

 

USD/ZAR

The South African rand percolated 16.62 against the dollar, shrugging off a survey showing South African business confidence continued to show signs of recovery in September, albeit at a slow pace, and a nationwide protest against job losses, wage curbs and corruption cases by the biggest trade union group COSATU.

 

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee lingered at 40.20(selling) on the local market.
