The Shared currency surged to $1.1975 as Fed comes in to focus

EUR/USD
The Shared currency gained to $1.1971 on U.S dollar weakness as a combination of vaccine optimism and bets on more monetary easing in the United States drives investors out of the world's reserve currency.

 

GBP/USD
Th Cable dropped to $1.3341 on fresh talks of a Scottish independence referendum that could wrench apart the United Kingdom after Brexit.

 

USD/JPY
The Japanese Yen meandered at 103.85 against the greenback despite Japan's better than extended Retail Sales data.

 

AUD/USD
The Aussie dollar ticked up to $0.7390 as China's economic activity extended its strong growth in November data showed earlier today.

 

USD/ZAR
South African rand lost ground to 15.25 against the U.S dollar buoyed by earlier momentum from positive news on COVID-19 vaccines that has boosted hopes of a swift global economic recovery.

 

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee idled at 40.35(selling).
