U.S dollar crimped across the board as mutant virus dampened confidence.
Fundamental News

EUR/USD
The single currency bolstered from $1.2130 to $1.2222 as advanced data published by the European Commission showed on Monday that Consumer Confidence Indicator for the euro area rose by 3.7 points to -13.9 in December from -17.6 in November.

 

GBP/USD
The Sterling jostled from $1.3188 to $1.3407 as mutant virus triggered more countries to cut transport ties with Britain, where a fast-spreading new strain of the coronavirus had broken out.

 

USD/JPY
The Japanese Yen rallied from 103.88 to 103.40 per dollar after Congress completed the passage of the $900 stimulus bill and payments to the unemployed, small businesses.

 

AUD/USD
The Australian dollar propelled from $0.7461 to $0.7561 following strong local retail sales data.

 

USD/ZAR
The South African rand clawed back to 14.65 against the greenback despite a more transmissible mutating covid virus rattles confidence.

 

USD/MUR
The dollar-rupee stayed afloat at 39.80(selling) on the local market.
