Unveiling of AfrAsia Bank’s Corporate Offices in the AfrAsia Tower

On Thursday, 12 June 2025, AfrAsia Bank officially inaugurated its new corporate headquarters in the AfrAsia Tower, located in the heart of Tribeca Central Smart City, underscoring the Bank's long-term growth ambitions and its commitment to serving clients with excellence. The inauguration was marked by an exclusive ceremony graced by the presence of ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, leaders from the business community and distinguished clients. The move to AfrAsia Tower reinforces AfrAsia Bank’s positioning as a key player in the banking sector, continuously contributing to the country’s economic development and supporting Mauritius’s standing as an international financial centre of choice and trust.

A new era of modern banking

The new headquarters, positioned among multinational companies and core partners in a major business district, highlights the Bank’s active role in a growing financial ecosystem. As part of its broader client and growth strategy, the Bank is strengthening its presence through spaces that improve client experience and operational efficiency. Client centricity remains a core priority, guiding how the Bank shapes its services and interactions.

With 13 storeys above Tribeca Central, the AfrAsia Tower offers state-of-the-art facilities designed to deliver superior client experiences. This elevated space offers a refined environment to work, unwind, and connect.

Now hosting close to 500 employees, the AfrAsia Tower features smart meeting rooms equipped with collaboration tools — providing a seamless, modern working environment for both internal teams and external guests.

“This launch is more than the unveiling of our new corporate offices in the AfrAsia Tower. This Tower marks a defining chapter in a journey that began in 2007—with a clear ambition to create a different bank, one rooted in Mauritius, yet connected to the world,” shared Thierry Vallet, CEO of AfrAsia Bank. “This space reflects our vision for a smarter, better connected, and people-focused workplace — one that elevates both client engagement and employee experience.”

A milestone celebrated in style

The inauguration event started with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony with Me. Gavin Glover, Attorney General, Dr. the Honourable Avinash Ramtohul, Minister of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation, Thierry Vallet, CEO of AfrAsia Bank and Olivier Jauffret, Chairperson of AfrAsia Bank. The official ceremony continued with speeches from both the CEO and Chairperson of AfrAsia Bank, each emphasising the strategic significance of this milestone and the bank's forward-looking vision. A highlight of the evening was a captivating drone show illustrating AfrAsia Bank's 17- year journey, followed by a networking reception that brought together stakeholders, clients and partners.

“The AfrAsia Tower is a physical embodiment of our strategy. Standing tall as a structure, it anchors us firmly in Mauritius while giving us the reach to support clients and markets far beyond our shores.” added Olivier Jauffret, Chairperson of AfrAsia Bank.

As part of this new chapter, AfrAsia Bank’s Ébène branch was officially relocated to the AfrAsia Tower on Monday, 26 May 2025, and is now fully operational for our valued clients.
