Public Holidays
We wish to inform you that the Bank will be closed on the following public holidays:
- Thursday, 12 March 2026 for the Independence and Republic Day of Mauritius.
- Thursday, 19 March 2026 for Ugaadi festival.
- Saturday, 21 March 2026 for Eid-Ul-Fitr festival. (Please note that if the moon is sighted earlier, Friday, 20 March 2026, will be observed as a public holiday instead.)
No securities transactions, foreign exchange deals and transaction requests will be processed or settled during this period and will instead be handled on the next business day.
The central bank, stock exchange, depository and all other financial institutions will also be closed for business on these dates.
