    Chief Commercial Officer

    Seasoned banker with close to two decades of international banking, Navin’s expertise spans traditional debt solutions to complex structured financing, supporting clients in meeting their financing requirements across sectors and jurisdictions. He brings an extensive knowledge and experience in international corporate banking across Africa, as well as dealing with Financial Institutions. He joined the bank in 2010 and previously worked for Barclays Bank (Mauritius) Ltd. Following a successful tenure as Head of International Corporate(Africa), Navin has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer and now leads the Bank’s business lines, focusing on strengthening its commercial strategy and delivering sustainable growth.

    Nadeem has been an integral part of the offshore banking industry since 2001. His unwavering commitment and proactive approach to staying updated with pertinent market trends and competitor insights have proven instrumental in bridging gaps between demand and supply within the industry.

    Nadeem embarked on a transformative journey with AfrAsia Bank in 2007, initially focusing on nurturing privileged client relationships. Since joining the Bank, he has been pivotal in cultivating remarkable customer loyalty in the global business segment and establishing a strong brand identity. His efforts have undoubtedly solidified AfrAsia Bank's reputation in the market.

     

    Nadeem holds an MBA from Plymouth University, UK and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.

    Head of Corporate Banking

    Holder of a Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures Spécialisées in Banking & Finance from the ‘Institut Technique de Banque’, Jean-Jacques has more than 30 years of experience in the banking, leasing and insurance industries.

    Jean-Jacques joined AfrAsia Bank in 2012 and held various leadership roles, contributing actively to the growth of the Bank mainly in the sales divisions as Deputy Head of Domestic Banking Relationships & Sales and Head of Business Banking, before being promoted as Head of Corporate Banking.

    Head of Private Banking – International

    Valerie Lincoln embodies a client-first approach that reflects AfrAsia's "Bank Different" philosophy.

     

    She began her career in luxury real estate, holding roles within leading conglomerates such as Medine Limited and CIEL Properties, where she advised international clients on high-end property and lifestyle investments. As client needs evolved towards wealth structuring and investment planning, her expertise naturally transitioned into private banking.

     

    As Head of Private Banking - International, she leads the strategic growth of the business, with a focused mandate on international client development and deepening the Bank's presence across key wealth markets in Europe, Africa and beyond. Over the past nine years within the Bank’s Private Banking, she has built trusted relationships with international clients investing in or relocating to Mauritius, combining deep client understanding and strong commercial discipline.

     

    Valerie holds a Professional Level 6 Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK, and a Level 3 Certificate in Wealth Management from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

    MARYLINE LO
    Head of Personal and Business Banking

    Maryline is a seasoned professional with 30 years of experience in the financial sector and had assumed key roles at HSBC and Cim Finance Ltd. She joined AfrAsia Bank Limited in 2012 and was promoted as Head of Business Banking in 2018. She took over the Personal Banking segment under her wings in 2021.

     

    She has an extensive experience in the domestic market ranging from traditional debt, structured financing and tailor made financing solutions both to mid corporates and individuals. Maryline is also the Head of our Branches which play an important role in our day to day service deliverables.

    MARC-ALEXANDRE MASNIN
    Head of Investment Solutions

    Marc-Alexandre Masnin is a highly experienced professional with over 20 years of expertise in investment banking, asset and wealth management, trading, and product structuring.

    Prior to joining AfrAsia Bank in 2020, Marc-Alexandre held significant positions within renowned French banks, including Société Générale, as well as other leading international asset management businesses. During this time, he successfully managed various projects ranging from market and credit risk assessments to product structuring for institutional and private investors.

    Marc-Alexandre has played a pivotal leadership role in asset allocation and investment strategy for several prominent wealth management companies. Currently, he is responsible for overseeing securities services, wealth management and advisory, as well as the external asset manager desk.

    Marc-Alexandre holds an MSc in International Finance from the Edinburgh Business School and a Master's in Management from the highly regarded NEOMA Business School in France.

    Chief Representative Officer, South Africa

    With over 25 years of experience in banking and financial services, Mervyn has held leadership roles in Business, Corporate, and Private Banking. He has a strong track record in driving client growth, fostering innovation, and delivering tailored financial solutions. As Chief Representative Offer, he oversees the South African representative office, reinforcing the Bank’s presence in the region and expanding market opportunities across Africa.

     

    Mervyn holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master’s in Business Leadership.

    Head of International Corporate (Asia)

    Anju Seebaluck is an experienced professional with 19 years of experience in banking, backed by a strong track record in developing and expanding international loan portfolios. Early in her career at AfrAsia Bank, she was instrumental in driving the international loan segment, applying her wide-ranging knowledge and expertise in corporate lending, trade finance, retail banking, recovery, and accounting.

     

    With a solid background in building a profitable and well-structured loan book, Anju has excelled at originating diverse credit facilities and conducting in-depth credit assessments. Her efforts have been fundamental in strengthening the Bank’s presence in offshore markets, particularly across the Asian region. Anju has successfully developed and executed strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets. She proactively identifies client needs and recommends tailored lending solutions, demonstrating her commitment to client success. She also possesses deep knowledge of lending practices and policies, credit analysis, loan structuring, documentation standards, collateral requirements, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

     

    Anju holds a BSc (Hons) in Finance with Law from the University of Mauritius.

    Head of Treasury and Markets

    Jean-François is a seasoned professional with over 19 years of experience in financial markets. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record to this strategic role.

     

    Previously at HSBC, he has held several key roles across treasury & markets, before successfully leading AfrAsia Bank’s fixed income and liquidity management desk for 8 years before advancing to his current role. With a robust knowledge of financial instruments, treasury strategy, risk management and proprietary trading, Jean-Francois has demonstrated outstanding professionalism and has been a driving force within the Bank, displaying a deep understanding of our business. As Head of Treasury and Markets, he oversees liquidity management, investments, funding, sales and trading activities.

     

    Jean-François holds a Master of International Business from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management from the University of South Africa.
