We wish to inform our customers that under Section 52A of the Bank of Mauritius Act, a Central Account Registry (‘’Registry’’) has been established by the Bank of Mauritius, to facilitate the electronic verification of customer identity, validation and secure collection of Know Your Customer (‘’KYC’’) information by financial institutions.

 

In line with the regulatory requirements, AfrAsia Bank Limited may submit certain customer account information to the Registry only upon the Registry’s request. You may rest assured that this submission does not include customers’ account balances or the amount held on the account(s).
