  • Assistant System Support Analyst (Database & Banking application)

    Department(s) : IT

    Reports to : Head of ICT and Support Services

    Job summary

    Provide support within the IT function in relation to the Banks IT Systems, and it's users.

    Summary of essential job functions

    • Installation and maintenance of the database, including Oracle and MS SQL on the desired hardware systems
    • Solving any problems that may rise due to the database / OS faults/malfunction
    • Purging, archival and backups of servers & databases
    • Monitoring the performance of the database & performing access level checks against the applications Performing regular functions, including EOD & BOD.
    • Report creation & maintenance
    • Writing /executing scripts
    • Provide first level functional in-house support to users

    Main Qualifications

    • A degree in IT or any other related professional qualification
    • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
    • Sound knowledge of Flexcube, Oracle, MS Office software applications

    Required Competencies

    • Strong analytical skills
    • Good communication skills (English and French)
    • Team player – enjoys working in a team environment
    • Ability to work flexible hours
  • IT Programmer

    Department(s) : IT

    Reports to : Head of ICT and Support Services

    Job summary

    Develop programmes for existing software packages and new solutions as required to meet the needs of the Bank- Web development and maintenance.

    Summary of essential job functions

    • Write and develop IT programmes
    • Monitor and maintain web sites and other e-channels
    • Plan and implement IT projects.
    • Form part of the IT Support Team

    Main Qualifications

    • A degree in IT or any other related professional qualification
    • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
    • Sound knowledge of Programing languages
    • Project Management experience
    • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing systems.
    • Coordinate application development for multiple projects.
    • Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.
    • Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues.

    Required Competencies

    • Good communication skills (English and French)
    • Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
    • Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support.
    • Good background in Data Base design in Microsoft SQL, MYSQL, Oracle and Access.
    • Background in Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic, PHP, MYSQL, Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server Technologies
    • Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.
    • Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities;
    • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours and be part of the Team running the End of Day Procedures of the Banking Applications.
  • Business Support Supervisor

    Department(s) : Business Support

    Reports to : Head of Business Support

    Job summary

    The Business Support Supervisor will have to assist the Head of Business Support for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Branch and of the Business Support Department (viz: Trade Finance, Clearing, Local and International Payments) in order to deliver an outstanding customer service to external and internal customers.

    Summary of essential job functions

    • Assist the Head of Business Support in co-ordinating all activities of the branch (teller transactions, clearing of cheques, data capture)
    • Assist the Head of Business Support in co-ordinating all activities of the Business Support Department (Trade Finance, Local and International Transfers)

    Prerequisites

    • Excellent knowledge of Trade Finance (including SWIFT)
    • Cash Management experience
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in banking
    • Excellent communication skills, in both English and French
  • Customer Service Officer

    Department(s) : Business Support

    Reports to : Head of Business Support

    Job summary

    The Customer Service Officer functions within the Business Support Team in order to deliver an outstanding customer service to external and internal customers.

    Summary of essential job functions

    • Input and maintenance of import and export Letters of Credit
    • Input and payment of import and export bills
    • Bank guarantees
    • Manage Nostro Accounts/Adjustments
    • End on Month Bank of Mauritius reports/returns
    • SWIFT operations – including Buyer's credit

    Prerequisites

    • HSC – English & Maths
    • Good PC skills – MS Office
    • Previous Banking experience essential –in general banking operations & trade finance
    • Detail oriented, meticulous with positive work attitude.
    • Able to plan, multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
